Strainer or Sieve
- ½ lb. Spaghetti (½ Box)
- 1 lb. Ground Beef or Italian Sausage (Ground Meat of Choice)
- ½ cup Chopped Onion
- ½ cup Chopped Sweet Peppers
- 4 cloves Finely Chopped Garlic
- 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning (Spices of Choice)
- 2 cups Heavy Cream
- 2 cups Grated Parmesan
- 1 stick Butter
- 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella
- Salt and Black Pepper
Cook Spaghetti
Cook spaghetti using the package directions to al dente or minus a couple of minutes from the cooking time. Strain and place in the 9x13 Baking Dish. Toss with a little oil to prevent sticking and set aside.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Make Alfredo Sauce
In a saucepan on medium heat melt the butter.
Add heavy cream and mix well until hot, but not boiling.
Reduce heat to low and mix in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
Pour right into the baking dish with the cooked spaghetti. Mix well.
Make Red Meat Sauce
In a skillet on medium-high heat brown the ground beef or meat. Add in garlic, onion, and sweet peppers. Mix in Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and any additional spices you would like.
Add a jar of pasta sauce. Cook on low-medium heat, cover, and let simmer for about 7-8 minutes.
Pour or layer the meat sauce on top of the mixed alfredo spaghetti.
Bake the Pasta
Once in the baking dish you have a layer of spaghetti mixed with the alfredo sauce and a layer of red meat sauce, then top with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake uncovered for 15 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Garnish with parsley or basil. Let cool for about 10 minutes.
Serve with extra grated Parmesan cheese. Enjoy.
