How To Make Cheesy BBQ Turkey Sliders
Delicious little sandwiches with melty cheddar cheese as big flavor, the whole family will love. Every bite is bursting with flavor: sweet, salty, smokey, savory, and cheesy. Yum.
Plus is a great way to use up that Thanksgiving turkey, instead of the traditional after holiday cranberry sliders. Don't forget game day as well.

Ingredients & Substitutions
Bread- Hawaiian sweet rolls is my recommendation, but any small dinner rolls could be used in a pinch.
Turkey- You'll want shredded or pulled turkey. Substitute with store bought thick cut turkey as well.
BBQ- Use your favorite flavor and brand.
Cheese - Choose your favorite, I recommend yellow cheddar.
Pickles - Dill pickles if you like savory or bread and butter for sweet.
Onion - Red or sweet onion, thinly sliced would be delicious.
Butter - Unsalted, salted or dairy-free.
Serving
Sliders have become such a popular appetizer, game day, potluck and party food. Try these serving suggestions.
- Perfect for dipping into ranch, blue cheese dressing or nacho cheese.
- Store bought snacks like potato chips or tortilla chips.
- Great alongside salads. Cold pasta, potato or fruit salad.
- Fresh vegetable tray.
- Warm baked beans or hot soup.
Storage and Reheating
These mini sandwiches can be easily stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat them in the oven at 325°F and reheat for about 10-15 minutes, or until warmed through. Air fryer at 350°F and reheat for about 5-7 minutes. Microwave in 30 second intervals until warmed through. You can wrap the sliders in a damp paper towel

- Grab the prepped ingredients and preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. In a mixing bowl add the turkey and bbq sauce. Mix well.
3. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise. Place the bottom half in a rimmed sheet pan. Add a layer of 4 slices of cheddar cheese.
4. Spread the turkey bbq mixture evenly.
5. Top with sliced red onion and pickles.
6. Add the remaining layer of cheese.
7. Place the top half of the rolls and brush with melted butter.
8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is lightly golden brown. Slice into individual sliders, then serve. Enjoy.

Ingredients
- 12 Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
- 3 cups Roasted Turkey, shredded or pulled
- 1 cup Barbecue Sauce
- 10 slices Yellow Cheddar Cheese
- 1 small Red Onion, sliced
- 12 Pickles, bread and butter
- 2 tablespoon Butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a mixing bowl add the turkey and bbq sauce. Mix well.
Layer
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise. Place the bottom half in a rimmed sheet pan.
