How To Make Cheesy BBQ Turkey Sliders

Delicious little sandwiches with melty cheddar cheese as big flavor, the whole family will love. Every bite is bursting with flavor: sweet, salty, smokey, savory, and cheesy. Yum.

Plus is a great way to use up that Thanksgiving turkey, instead of the traditional after holiday cranberry sliders. Don't forget game day as well.

Ingredients & Substitutions

Bread- Hawaiian sweet rolls is my recommendation, but any small dinner rolls could be used in a pinch.

Turkey- You'll want shredded or pulled turkey. Substitute with store bought thick cut turkey as well.

BBQ- Use your favorite flavor and brand.

Cheese - Choose your favorite, I recommend yellow cheddar.

Pickles - Dill pickles if you like savory or bread and butter for sweet.

Onion - Red or sweet onion, thinly sliced would be delicious.

Butter - Unsalted, salted or dairy-free.

Serving

Sliders have become such a popular appetizer, game day, potluck and party food. Try these serving suggestions.

  • Perfect for dipping into ranch, blue cheese dressing or nacho cheese.
  • Store bought snacks like potato chips or tortilla chips.
  • Great alongside salads. Cold pasta, potato or fruit salad.
  • Fresh vegetable tray.
  • Warm baked beans or hot soup.

Storage and Reheating

These mini sandwiches can be easily stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheat them in the oven at 325°F and reheat for about 10-15 minutes, or until warmed through. Air fryer at 350°F and reheat for about 5-7 minutes. Microwave in 30 second intervals until warmed through. You can wrap the sliders in a damp paper towel
