TikTok creators agree, you’ll see lots of recipes that use jiffy as a staple ingredient. Then adding their own spin with sour cream, mayo, oil, creamed corn and classic buttermilk.

Check out these recipes using Jiffy - Pumpkin Cornbread, Sweet Potato Cornbread, TikTok Corn Casserole and Sausage Cornbread Stuffing Muffins.

Tips & Suggestions

Preheat the oven early because the cornbread batter mixes up quickly.

Don’t forget togrease the 9x13 baking pan or make cornbread muffins.

Sift or use a whisk to break up the clumpy dry box mix to prevent a lumpy batter.

Don’t overmix the batter, mix until combined for tender and fluffy results.

If you have the time after mixing the batter let it rest for 20 minutes. This allows the cornmeal to absorb the liquid and soften up.

Over baking the cornbread will make it very dry, keep an eye on the bake time.

This recipe can be easily made ahead, prepped and baked up to 2 days before serving.

Store leftovers wrapped in plastic wrap or parchment paper then in freezer zipper bag. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen up to 3 months.

They can be easily reheated individually in the microwave or oven.

My company loved this even though the slices mostly fell apart. I’m not used to my oven so perhaps it didn’t get to the right temperature.

So happy you liked the cornbread recipe, I had to get a thermometer for my oven to get a precise temperature. Thanks so much 🙂

That’s a good idea, Andrea, thanks! The second time I made it I left it in a little longer due to the oven and it was AMAZING!
