Pimento Cheese Sausage Balls

These quick and easy pimento cheese sausage balls are the best southern style appetizer. Made with only 3 ingredients, bisquick or red lobster biscuit mix.

Pimento cheese is a delicious dip that has shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, mayonnaise, pimientos, and spices.

One thing about this sausage ball recipe, it serves a crowd. Perfect for game days, potluck, cookouts, tailgating, holidays, or when company comes by.

Serve on a platter with a delicious dipping sauce like sweet chili, honey mustard, buffalo, or ranch dressing.

Ingredients

Sausage- Pork, turkey, or ground chicken sausage would be delicious. 

Baking Mix - Bisquick or Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuit mix is recommended. You can also make your own using 1 ½ cups flour and 2 teaspoon of baking powder if you prefer.  

Pimento Cheese- I prefer my homemade pimento cheese, but store bought palmetto is delicious as well.

Tips & Techniques 

Use a stand mixer or your hand to easily mix the ingredients together. 

A cookie scoop will help to portion each individual ball must easier and uniform. 

These can easily be made ahead, prepped, and baked right before serving.

Leftovers & Storage

Leftover sausage balls should be stored in an airtight container for up a 3 day in the refrigerator. 

It can also be frozen for up to 3 months in a freezer bag. Just warm them up in the microwave, when ready to eat. 

How To Make Pimento Cheese Sausage Balls Step By Step

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. To a large mixing bowl add the sausage, pimento cheese, and biscuit mix.

3. Mix all ingredients until well combined. You can use your hands, stand or hand mixer.

4. Portion with a cookie scoop. Roll into a ball and place onto a parchment lined sheet pan.

5. Bake for 15 – 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Sausage, uncooked
  • 12 oz Pimento Cheese, homemade or Palmetto
  • 1 ½ cups Bisquick or Red Lobster Biscuit Mix

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • To a large mixing bowl add the sausage, pimento cheese, and biscuit mix.
  • Mix all ingredients until well combined. You can use your hands, stand or hand mixer.
  • Portion with a cookie scoop. Roll into a ball and place onto a parchment lined sheet pan.
