Tips & Suggestions

Preheat your oven first, prep and mixing the biscuit dough comes together quickly.

Try not to over mix the biscuit dough. Over mixing will make a tough textured biscuit.

Use a large cookie or ice cream scoop to portion the dough. Will help to form a rounder biscuit.

Don’t forget to line your sheet pan or baking tray with parchment paper. Helps to prevent sticking and easy clean up.

Try not to over bake the biscuits, it will have a dry texture. I baked nine portioned biscuits for 14 minutes.

To reduce the sodium in the biscuits use unsalted butter and 1 cup of cheddar cheese in the dough.

Bowl of New England clam chowder with a red lobster biscuit on the side. Next to a basket of biscuits and gold spoon.

How To Serve

After baking and letting the biscuits cool for about 5 minutes, serve them warm in a bread basket.

New England Clam Chowder

To add a touch extra flavor to a store bought New England Clam Chowder soup. Use salted butter and half and half.

New England Clam Chowder soup is such a staple at Red Lobster. Years ago entrees came with a soup or salad and clam chowder was my go to. Dip the cheesy biscuits into the soup and Yum.

 Leftovers and Reheating

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container or freezer ziplock bag in the fridge for up to 4 days and and can be frozen for up to 3 months.

To reheat the biscuits place them in the microwave wrapped in a damp paper towel. Check them in 10 second intervals until warm through.

Thank you! I have always been a huge fan of the cheddar biscuits at red lobster so I bought a box of the mix to see if they are just as good but I felt like somethings missing. I'm trying your method now. I didn't have buttermilk or half n half so I just used whole milk. They only have a few minutes left in the oven so I'm hoping they come out yummy!!!
